1987-now Seven Ranges

Seven Ranges Scout Reservation opened for summer camping program in 1987. It is almost 1,000 acres located near Kensington, Ohio near the southeast corner of the Buckeye Council. In addition to being larger than the former camps, it has a 45 acre lake, which provides a venue for a diverse aquatics program and some great fishing during the summer.

Seven Ranges is operated as three camps, Camp Algonkin which is the formal Boy Scout program area which features the lake as well as the Frank G. Hoover Dining Hall which will soon have capacity for 1200 scouts to sit and enjoy meals, program and memories together in one sitting. Camp Akela is the Cub Scout camp - and home of the summer Webelos Resident Camp program. Camp Calumet is the primitive camping side of summer camp - with patrol cooked meals and bring your own tentage.

Below are the issues specifically issued for summer camps. Periodically, there have been a number of anniversary or special issues made noting Seven Ranges Scout Reservation for either the camp, the camp program or camp honors programs. Those issues are shown separately on the Special Issues page. There is very little information on these issues - so the special issue page is always a work in progress.
